An amazing journey through the valleys and highlands of Nepal, the Jomsom Muktinath tour by jeep lets you experience the natural beauty and the cultural aspect of the country. Starting with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara the journey start off with a scenic drive through the valleys and along the Trishuli River. Pokhara is a magical city located next to Phewa Lake and the mighty Annapurna Himalayas. Mt. Machhapuchhre also known as the Fishtail Mountain due to its unique shape is directly visible as we enter Pokhara.
From here the real journey begins as we drive for about 8 to 9 hours towards Jomsom. The road will switch from concrete to jeep accessible mountain roads. Along the way to Jomsom we stop at various tea houses for a short break and to take in the views. After about 4 hours the mighty Nilgiri and Daulagiri Mountains start to become visible. One on of the largest waterfalls the Rupsa is also coming on this way and we will be sure to stop for a while to take some photos and take in the majestic view of this spectacular waterfall. We will reach Jomsom in the evening.

Today we head to Muktinath famous for the Muktinath Temple and its 108 holy water taps. The road is fully pitched and easy going. The mighty Kaligandeki River is located next to Jomsom and we follow it until reaching Kagbeni where we can take some nice photos with the river in the background. From Kagbeni we head inwards to Muktinath.

Muktinath allows us to hire a pony ride up to the temple and it’s truly amazing, the area resembles the Wild West of the Americas and traveling on horseback gives that authentic cowboy feeling! The temple is great for photos and daredevils can participate in taking a dip under the 108 water taps of the temple! After sightseeing we head back to Jomsom.

The route is all but familiar as we head back to Pokhara but noticeable is that by taking the reversed road other views come in sight! After arriving back in Pokhara we take a rest and prepare to head back to Kathmandu or your prefered destination the next day.
